Esto ha llevado a reducir las estancias hospitalarias prolongadas, disminuir el riesgo de infecciones nosocomiales y mejorar la comodidad del paciente, sin embargo, también representa diferentes desafíos, tanto para el paciente, sus cuidadores y familiares, así como para el equipo de salud y hasta para las aseguradoras que deben proveer mayores recursos y deben ofrecer acompañamiento para el cuidado en casa. Para este estado del arte se analizó un total de 60 artículos publicados entre el año 2011 y 2024 con el objetivo de identificar las intervenciones realizadas por el especialista en enfermería oncológica para hacer seguimiento a los pacientes adultos con cáncer que reciben tratamiento de quimioterapia ambulatoria. Se encontró que los pacientes y sus familias manifiestan diferentes tipos de necesidades que al no estar satisfechas afectan el nivel de adherencia y por ende el éxito del tratamiento. Estás necesidades pueden ser resueltas por el equipo interprofesional encabezado por el especialista en enfermería oncológica. Además, existen diferentes herramientas de apoyo, como las TIC en salud que promueven y optimizan el proceso de atención. |

This has reduced prolonged hospital stays, decreased the risk of nosocomial infections, and improved patient comfort. However, it also presents different challenges for the patient, their caregivers, and family members, as well as for the healthcare team and their insurers, who must provide more resources and offer support for home care. For this state of the art, a total of 60 articles published between 2011 and 2024 were analyzed with the objective of identifying the interventions carried out by oncology nursing specialists who monitor adult oncologic patients receiving outpatient chemotherapy. It was found that patients and their families express different types of needs which, if unmet, affect the level of adherence and therefore the success of the treatment.
