El objetivo de este trabajo es revisar la evidencia científica sobre la interleuquina 17 y su rol en la patogénesis de la TSP/HAM.

TSP/HAM is an inflammatory disease of the central nervous system (CNS), whose pathogenesis process is not yet clear, but it is believed that the viral and host factors as the proviral load and the immune response, particularly proinflammatory cytokines, play a major role in disease progression (2).
