RESUMEN: El problema del vendedor viajero es el principal caso de prueba en la optimización combinatoria. Se propone un método para identificar el espacio literario que reúne el estado actual y los avances en dicho campo de conocimiento, brindando garantías de efectividad, objetividad y reproducibilidad. El método emplea Scopus como medio de consulta y sigue las etapas: selección de términos, delimitación del espacio, trabajo de campo, control de calidad, depuración de información e informe. Se encuentra que la importancia del problema del vendedor viajero en la comunidad académica es creciente. Se identifican los estudios, sobre dicho tema, más reconocidos por la comunidad académica a través de la historia y entre 2006-2010. El espacio literario, identificado en este artículo, representa el 1,9% del total de documentos existentes y consolida el 68% de las citaciones. Los resultados de aplicación posibilitan a los interesados en el problema del vendedor viajero, acceder eficientemente a la literatura más reconocida sobre el tema. Se desea aplicar el método en otros temas. |

Se desea aplicar el método en otros temas.ABSTRACT: Travelling salesman problem is the main problem to test advances in combinatorial optimization. With guarantees of objectivity, effectiveness and reproducibility for the method used and results obtained, it is proposed a review method to identify the literary space to include information on the current status and progress of travelling salesman problem. Database “Scopus” is used in the proposed method, which involves the following steps: selection of terms, delimitation of the search, data collection, quality control, selection of relevant information and reporting results. The travelling salesman problem is increasingly important to the academic community. Studies on the travelling salesman problem, most recognized by the academic community throughout history and in 2006-2010, are identified. The literary space on the travelling salesman problem identified in this article represents only 1,9% of all existing documents and consolidates 68% of the citations issued by the academic community. The results enable stakeholders in the travelling salesman problem, efficient access to the best-known documents on the subject.
