RESUMEN : Productos Familia S.A es una empresa líder en el mercado de productos de higiene y cuidado personal, destacando su compromiso con la sostenibilidad y la innovación. El estudio aborda la implementación de balances de masa y ceniza en la fabricación de papel tissue con el objetivo de optimizar el aprovechamiento de materias primas, identificar puntos críticos de pérdidas y evaluar el rendimiento del proceso. La metodología incluyó la identificación y monitoreo de las etapas clave del proceso, mediciones periódicas en los puntos de rechazo y análisis del contenido de cenizas en las diferentes fases. Se realizaron tres balances en fechas específicas. Los resultados revelaron que las mayores pérdidas de material se presentan en las CD y las bandejas de máquina de papel, mientras que el rechazo del LCP mostró un alto contenido de cenizas, dificultando la recuperación de fibra. El rechazo del SV003 representa una oportunidad para la recuperación de material útil. Además, se identificaron variaciones en los balances debido a condiciones operativas, resaltando la necesidad de un monitoreo riguroso durante los muestreos. |

The study addresses the implementation of mass and ash balances in the manufacture of tissue paper to optimize the use of raw materials, identify critical loss points and evaluate the performance of the process. The methodology included the identification and monitoring of the key stages of the process, periodic measurements at the rejection points and analysis of the ash content in the different phases. Three balances were carried out on specific dates. The results revealed that the highest material losses occurred in the CD and paper machine trays, while the LCP rejects showed a high ash content, making fiber recovery difficult. The SV003 reject represents an opportunity for the recovery of useful material.
