Summary:This research deals with the implementation of gamification principles as a didactic strategy in teaching the muscular system with eighth grade students. taking into account that most of the practices have been developed and based on the memorization of contents, which in turn become somewhat monotonous, thus losing interest and motivation on the part of the students, leaving aside elements that are of the utmost importance in the teaching-learning process. The specific purposes revolved around the students' appreciation of the gamification principles in teaching the muscular system; development of a didactic sequence based on gamification principles in the teaching of the muscular system, finally, the assessment of the scope of a system based on gamification principles inside the classroom. From the methodological point of view, it was developed from an interpretative perspective, with a qualitative approach, based on a case study design, therefore, the techniques and instruments used are: the semi-structured interview, participant observation, focus group, interview guide and diary. field, with which relevant information was obtained that allows to know the incidence of the implementation of the didactic strategy based on the principles of gamification, with the analysis of the results it was possible to account for the benefits of the implementation of gamification in the educational field, because it is an alternative that greatly supports the teaching-learning process, taking into account that it can generate certain emotions and attitudes in students, such as happiness, interest, fun , motivation and collaborative work. In general terms, it can be said that with the implementation of this strategy, positive emotions and attitudes towards the process were awakened in the students. Fact that can guarantee a more dynamic, innovative and effective learning, all this because, for students, the contents can be understood more easily, since by awakening emotions in them they can feel motivated, which contributes to them achieving Focus your full attention on the activities in progress.
