Summary:This project is derived from the business practice that was carried out under the position of industrial engineering intern, more precisely in the maintenance area, providing support in the inventory management of the Arrocera Formosa spare parts and materials warehouse. The company has a way to store and buy, but they do not implement a specific inventory management system, since they decide when and how much to order according to what the stockist considers necessary. For Arrocera Formosa SAS it is important to achieve a restructuring in the spare parts and materials warehouse, which is a fundamental part of maintenance management, this process always requires answers, in addition to being tied to a significant amount of financial resources that merit adequate administration. thereof. In favor of improving the area, an inventory management system was developed under the EOQ model, where an economic order quantity, reorder point and a safety inventory for the items with the highest turnover are established, determined with the data . An Excel application was created to record the entries and exits of the articles; likewise, a user manual was prepared to understand it.
