Summary:The following work investigates and analyzes the reverse logistics applied in the aviation industry, starting from basic concepts, advantages, disadvantages, importance and application. In addition, costs of different suppliers which supply parts for those companies that provide this aeronautical service were annexed, making a comparison between the costs of components whether new, repaired or overhaul, which are used in aircraft and are constantly changing, with the participation of the engineer Mauricio Betancur, in charge of technical purchases and director of foreign trade in one of the main private companies most recognized in this sector, who with an interview manages to explain how it manages its processes of return of materials, which is known as, Exchange
