Summary: | Logistics activity has been characterized as an important source of pollution and one of the main emitters of Greenhouse Gases, which alter the balance of the planet and put the health of humanity at risk; this problem has aroused the interest of organizations, industries and consumers at a global level, and countries are increasingly rigorous in reducing the environmental impact of these activities. Consequently, the logistics industry has had to implement environmental tools and alternatives to minimize impacts, guarantee the preservation of resources and meet the demands of international markets. From this, this monographic project studies the incorporation of green logistics in international business, its benefits and opportunities, to comply with the proposal, the concept of green logistics, its origin and the practices associated with its management were characterized; secondly, the adoption of green logistics in the activities of the international supply chain was described and the main international regulations related to green management were detailed; Finally, the benefits, opportunities and limitations of adopting green logistics in international business were pointed out. |
