| Summary: | This work aims to investigate the causes of the threat of extinction of the golden frog (Phyllobates terribilis) and analyze which of them are described in the literature scientific. Where, it is a species native to Colombia where according to the IUCN it is categorized as Critical danger (CR). On the other hand, the red book of amphibians in Colombia (Castro - Herrera, 2004) and resolution 0192 of 2014 of the Ministry of Environment and Sustainable Development has done several studies of this population in free range where there is still no estimate exact population by 2024 and the techniques used such as Capture-Mark-Recapture (CMR) (Loaiza-Piedrahíta et al., 2016). Because human intervention, change climate and the behavior of these reptiles has modified them (Anguiar, 2015). |
