Summary: | This work studies the level of certification in sectoral standards of labor competence of the instructors of a training center in design, clothing and fashion, and the contribution of these competences to the training. The value chain of the sector to which the training programs offered are associated was analyzed. Then, the competency standards required for the mission-related occupations of the design, clothing and fashion sector were identified and the level of certification of the instructors was diagnosed. It was found that the majority of instructors had been certified in both sector-specific skills and skills associated with their work as educators. It was also identified that there is a high proportion of expired certifications and that some standards do not have certified instructors. Finally, a reflection is presented on how the certification of the competences of instructors can improve the appropriateness of the training provided. |
