Summary:Abstract The present review is a personal reflection of the author on certain behaviors observed in the architects in the city of Cartagena de Indias where many cases of corruption are evidenced from the public and private spheres, causing that the processes of execution and processing of projects are delayed if there is no monetary benefit for those individuals, this causes that they are generated on costs in the executions of public infrastructure projects and their value is multiplied unnecessarily. The city of Cartagena compared to other cities in the country is left behind in terms of favorability and perception in the population on the issue of development in the public private infrastructure as this shows shortcomings in the execution and processes in the construction projects, the completion of works only increase the little credibility that exists in the architectural and political policy guild, our group is faced with a dilemma between being a properly correct person who thinks about the real needs of society that faces an economy with limitations, or be an architect without principles that accepts all kinds of bribes and
