Description
Summary:Systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) is a chronic autoimmune disease characterized by inflammation and damage to various organs in the body, including the skin, joints, kidneys, and nervous system. It occurs when the immune system mistakenly attacks healthy tissues, resulting in a variety of symptoms that may include fatigue, rashes, joint pain, and serious complications. This article aims to determine the effectiveness of physical exercise in patients with systemic lupus erythematosus, based on studies published over the past five years. A rigorous methodology was used for the search and selection of information, obtaining reliable and representative data from the current scientific literature, including specialized databases and the consultation of relevant electronic journals on the subject (Scopus, Pubmed, ScienceDirect, Google scholar Sage journals). Despite the inherent challenges of the disease, the inclusion of adapted and supervised exercise programs can be a safe and effective intervention to help patients manage symptoms and maintain optimal physical and emotional health. However, individualized assessment and ongoing medical supervision are recommended to tailor exercise to the needs and limitations of each patient with SLE
