Summary: | The analysis of the management model for the provision of water and sewerage public services in Buenaventura urban zone was based on the compilation of existing information from different studies and documents, which were realised between 2002, the year when the model was implemented, and 2016. Base on this information, a diagnosis from legal, technical, operating, commercial, and financial field was made to each of the entities that make up the current management model. From this diagnosis was possible to identify the likely causes of the poor management indicators, during the fifteen years of aplication of this model for the provision of water and sewerage public services. In addition, for the proposal of reorganization of the current model for the provision of water and sewerage public services in Buenaventura urban zone, were taken into account two activities that happened in the first semester of 2017. The first of them, the Public Audience for the Reorganization of the Current Model for the provision of water and sewerage public services, which carried out on march the 13th of 2017. And the second one, the Buenaventura Civic Strike, which carried out from May the 16th to June the 6th of 2017. Finally, also different points of view were presented; according to the trajectory, experience and knowledge gained in the water and sewerage public services sector from 2005 to 2017 in Buenaventura District.
