Summary:In this article the basic aspects of the franchise model will be announced, as it operates in our environment, thus providing a basic knowledge for anyone who wants to invest in any sector of the Colombian economy. In such a way the valuation of this business model will be addressed, considering the essential elements that differ from a business of its own, establishing generalities, approaches from different perspectives "franchisee-franchisor", types of franchise, describing the rights and obligations of each party, advantages and disadvantages, its evolution in Colombia and what is considered successful and what models of franchises are successful and why. Therefore we will try to resolve some concerns for the presentation of entrepreneurship in our environment and by different models that can help to agree on the environment, as it shows different alternatives to negotiate and propose new alternatives for innovation, growth and development
