Caracterización de factores de riesgo asociados a la infección y colonización asintomática POR Streptococcus Pyogenes en población sana o en riesgo. una revisión de tema

Introduction: Streptococcus pyogenes is one of the most important bacterial pathogens in human health. It Is estimated that up to 20% of people may be colonized by this Gram-positive bacterium, mainly in their respiratory tract. Methodology: In This research a systematic search was carried out in the databases Science Direct and Scholar Google. The following combination of keywords and their equivalents to English Were used with the use of Boolean operators (AND) < Colonization and Streptococcus pyogenes > >, << Infection and Streptococcus pyogenes > >, << risk Factors for infection Streptococcus pyogenes >>, << Infection and Streptococcus Betahemolitico >>, << Colonization and Streptococcus Betahemolitico >>, In the same way, the descriptors for the search in the Pubmed database were combined in the following way: (Streptococcus pyogenes) AND Colonization, (Streptococcus pyogenes) AND healthy population, (Streptococcus pyogenes) AND infection, (Streptococcus pyogenes) AND risk factors , (Streptococcus pyogenes) AND population at risk. In addition, the references of the related articles were reviewed to find others that were not found in the databases during the search. The above will allow to know which are the risk factors that condition a person to develop the infection and that allows others to remain in the state of asymptomatic carrier. Conclusion: We observed all the characteristics that have significant levels of association to call risk factors such as skin lesions, varicella infections, immunocompromised people, age, overcrowding, geographical area and season, thus demonstrating its relationship with the development of infection and colonization respectively
