Summary:In line array systems, it is assumed that all sources are equal to guarantee a correct performance in thesound radiation of these, however, in practice this does not happen, since some components of the sources,which are characterized as Thiele Small parameters are rarely equal despite being of the same model,making the performance of a line array affected. The present project aimed to evaluate the effects ofvarying Thiele Small parameters in line arrays with and without a coupled transmission line. For thispurpose, an analytical model of the acoustic source with a coupled transmission line waveguide based onThiele Small parameters was developed and a methodology for the random variation of these parametersbased on real statistics was implemented. The output parameters of the model were used to synthesizethe acoustic field of different line arrays composed of ten loudspeakers, in order to perform a parametricstudy of the effects of the variability of each of the Thiele Small on the sources of one of these line arraysand between the different simulated line arrays. Finally, it was determined that a fundamental parameterfor the performance of a line array isBl, which proved to have the greatest effect on the behavior of thesources and therefore the line array
