Esta vía de movimiento ascensional –presente en todos sus escritos– le permite desarrollar una sólida teología, en cuanto el hombre puede llegar a comprender que amar a Dios le posibilita entrar en la misma Trinidad. Por esta razón, para el abad de Saint-Thierry, la nostalgia es una forma del amor que se hace camino y aspira llegar a la meta del día final que en el Comcant corresponde al Amado salutare Dei. De este movimiento, el deseo no solo se reduce a un simple fenómeno psicológico, sino se transforma en destino del hombre fruitio Dei. Por consiguiente, esta línea de pensamiento se ha de verificar a partir del método teológico del autor, el fundamento bíblico y la riqueza de la interpretación espiritual presente en el tejido de esta investigación.William of Saint-Thierry, a 20th century theologian and mystic, displays man’s nostalgy and desire to know and love God in a language of authentic beauty. This path of ascensional movement –present in all his writings– enables him to develop a sound theology, as man can understand that by loving God, he may enter the same Trinity. For this reason, for Saint-Thierry abate, nostalgy is a form of love that makes its own path and aspires to arrive at the end of the final day which corresponds to salutare Dei in Comcant. From this movement, the desire does not only confine itself to a psychological phenomenon, but turns into the destiny of fruitio Dei man.
