Summary:The following investigation, is product of a study done in the Universidad Nacional sede Medellin, with 59 employees from administrative dependencies. A (23,7%) are men and a (76,3%) are women, the average age is (38,1%) and all of them use a computer or data displaying screen (DDS) during their work. It was sought to establish the relationship between Musculoskeletal Disorders (MSD) and the self-perception of the posture, to do so a quantitative, non-experimental and descriptive methodology was used, also data recollection tools such as a social profile survey, Kuorinka nordic questionnaire and a self-perception of DDS questionnaire. The analysis of the gathered information showed that, from the quantity of participant employees in this investigation, a 74,6% is in a medium level, an 18,6% is on a low level and a 6,8% is in high level of postural risk. It is precise to affirm that all the surveyed are at a level of postural risk in the performance of their duties. The employees of the administrative area of the Universidad Nacional sede Medellin work in average 7,7 hours in front of a DDS, from which 93,2% have presented at least a MSD in the last 12 months, being the most relevant neck pain (61%), lower back pain (52,5%), also knee pain with (52,5%), upper back pain (49,2%) and wrist pain (45,8%) in spite of this an 86,3% of the surveyed do not present difficulties to perform the office work
