Summary: | The following reflexive article is product of the study whose goal and problem was, from a perspective of educational management, to give a new meaning on the high school social service at Maria del Rosario Rural Educational Institution, Salto Abajo rural settlement in the municipality of Marinilla, Department of Antioquia (Colombia) based on a training proposal and implementation in rural journalism from the educational use of smartphones in the rural context, the development of communicative competence mediated by ICT and community participation. The research was qualitative, descriptive type with direct involvement of the researcher in fieldwork. A general poll of perceptions was applied as an instrument of compilation of necessary information to students, teachers and principals. The results have clarified that the experience of student social service manages to approach students with the community to contribute socially on issues such as entrepreneurship, the local economy, food or popular culture, also this experience can help the student discover their vocational orientation and from the school management can be implemented in other groups of students so that learning is applied and have this educommunicative sense and may emerge a significant proposal from appropriate uses of ICT, such as smartphones, to which students have access |
