description El presente estudio buscó comparar si el estado depresivo (puntaje mayor de 6 en la Escala Geriátrica De Depresión Yesavage) influía en el desempeño de la curva de memoria verbal de Grober y Buschke y la cantidad de intrusiones en sujetos con cognición normal, deterioro cognitivo leve y demencia. Este fue un estudio de tipo expos-facto con un diseño comparativo-causal, compuesto por una muestra de grupo experimental con 55 sujetos deprimidos y un grupo control sin depresión con igual cantidad de sujetos y variables sociodemográficas. Se encontraron diferencias estadísticamente significativas únicamente en el grupo con demencia en las variables Evocación Corto Plazo Libre, Intrusiones Corto Plazo Libre, Intrusiones Corto Plazo Clave y Total Intrusiones entre los sujetos deprimidos y no deprimidos, concluyendo que los sujetos deprimidos se benefician en la memoria con clave y presentan menos intrusiones que aquellos que no lo están.

This was an expos-facto type with a comparative-causal design, consisting of a sample of 55 depressed subjects experimental group and a control group without depression with equal amount of subjects and sociodemographic variables.
