Description
Summary:We are immersed in mega-corporations where physical boundaries have already been crossed. The establishment of all kinds of associations acts as a form of defensive response to the overwhelming attempt of global homogenization. The religious field, that may seem to go on retreat, seems stronger on a continent that has historically been identified with the official religions and today has a degree of diversification from the emergence of new religious alternatives. The modernization project in crisis has brought new forms of association under postmodernity, and the way in the search for identity has just begun. This article aims to investigate the factors that have motivated this “religious mutation” and the particularities involved.
