Description
Summary:Virtual Reality (VR) is a technology that has been growing for over years, but only recently it has become more popular among people. Research on this topic has highlighted the benefits it can have in educational techniques and training. Moreover, a series of research projects have been carried out to study the efficiency of this technique in learning the basic survival protocols by a user. On the other hand, the country tries to make the population aware of the necessary precautions that must be considered before and after an earthquake. The techniques currently used lack interactivity and/or experimentation that an emulation in a virtual reality application can offer, through the selection of options. The purpose of this project is to develop the prototype of a virtual reality application for Android devices on the Unity platform, that can be used with an HMD (Head-Mounted display) to project a low-poly virtual environment in which are performed a series of scenarios related to situations that may arise during and after an earthquake, and emulate the results obtained depending on the user's response.
