The feeling of being in front of danger and what this causes to their mental state, since they are exposed to loss and constant pain. This article’s objective is acknowledging which are the psychological resources used by a group of rescuers that belong to the Colombian Civil Defense in order to face disaster and emergency situations; a methodology with a mixed approach of a quantitative-descriptive and qualitative-phenomenological type of transversal temporality is used for this purpose, with a sample composed by 9 individuals between the ages of 38 and 62 years. Within the results, it was evidenced that the emotional impact qualification of the participants belongs to the emotional expression, thus causing previous and post-event personal management; in the same way, institutional actions influence the emotions of the volunteers according to the diverse emergencies presented; therefore the psychological resources that the research volunteers use at an individual and interpersonal level are feeling satisfaction with the labors they perform and the dialogue they establish with their crew after the emergency |
