Description
Summary:Democratic governance as collective action allows citizens to participate in the management and control of what is public. Considering the actions aimed at generating effective public policies and governance in the regions, this article attempts to analyses the impact of the strategies implemented within the framework of the Peace Laboratories of the European Union in the Montes de María region, during the period 2006 -2011 for the strengthening of democratic governance. The analysis was made taking as a reference the results obtained in the III Peace Laboratory (LP III) of Montes de María and the results of the Participatory Governance Axis. To measure the impact of the (LP III) of Montes de María, the management and evaluation indicators designed by the DNP were used, which in general showed unfavourable results in the actions implemented in 2 the Participatory Governance Axis, mainly in the indicators Management, Administrative Capacity, Fiscal Performance and in the Legal Requirements component, showing negative percentage variations.
