Description
Summary:The present project, developed at the University of San Buenaventura Cali, is aimed at the young female community with introverted characteristics, who find some reluctance to communicate with words for fear of being judged by others, and justifies how clothing acts as a therapeutic means to express thoughts, emotions or ideas in an artistic way that does not involve verbal language, and it is also a tool that allows you to create tangible connections and reinforce personal image, which is often affected by negative self-perception. Having support from psychological theories about personality, research that involves personality tests, surveys, individual art therapy sessions, interviews, collection of logbooks and trend research, activities that are divided into a four-phase methodology, allows the development of a co-creative capsule collection under the name Nonverbal, focused on the design of embroidery and print proposals applied in three outfits, based on previous results and validated by a group of users belonging to the target market who collaborated in the co-creation, presented with their respective specification sheet for their subsequent production at the end of the 2020-1 academic period. Results were positive, since the users recognize that the applications on the upper garments really do transmit their emotions and they think that the outfit is in line with their personality and preferences, even considering that it would give them self-confidence if they used them in real life, all this fulfilling the initial objective.
