Description
Summary:currently with new construction features in their groupings; which allows to identify that more than 80% of them are party-wall conditions, and the predominant morphology are rectangular properties. This region, due to its location within the Equator and the tropic of Cancer, is defined by climatic conditions of low wind intensity, part¬ly cloudy skies, relatively high temperatures and humidity. The above are characteristics from the humid warm climate, the morphology of the pro¬perties, the conditions of the party wall, entail that this construction typology presents many hours of thermal discomfort throughout the year which has encouraged the massive installation of mechanical cooling systems, which has had an effect on the increase of energy consumption. This Project seeks to implement bioclimatic stra¬tegies that help on the improvement of the ther-mal comfort levels inside houses units located downtown Quibdó, transforming this document into a design guide for new implementations of these characteristics; to help on the improve-ment of the quality of life of people, to decrease the energy consumption; and therefore on the negative impact on the planet
