Summary:This article highlights the benefits that work by objectives entails, comparing the work model of the Colombian company against countries with higher productivity and less working hours, based on the fact that the level of productivity is not measured by time worked if not, by working time worked. Based on the information found related to the research topic and based on testimonies of people working under this modality, it was found that a person who has flexible schedules is more efficient and sees the “free time” factor as a motivation to achieve their objective with better results than a person with a longer working day, who generally manages to be productive for the first 6 hours of work and is usually more likely to fail in consequence of the physical and mental exhaustion that comes with the performance of a repetitive activity affecting the level of productivity of the company
