Summary:Throughout the years, sport has always been present in different societies, presenting itself as a cultural tool whose use has varied, based on the cultural framework in context and the values appreciated by the collective. Therefore, the following is a research in which this subject is addressed to know today, the role of sports practice in processes of socialization and identification in the construction of personality in a group of young people of 13 years, who are part of a recognized soccer club in the city of Cali. For this, an empirical research of qualitative cut is carried out with a descriptive-interpretative scope around the social values finding that from the sports model of the club and the direction of the coaches that take this model and take it to the sports practices, processes of socialization and individualization occur that, thanks to collaborative and cooperative work, promote the development of the athlete not only in technical, tactical or physical instruction but also in social values such as respect, tolerance, solidarity, among others, that result being essential for group cohesion and the achievement of team objectives.
