description	La violación de derechos humanos de las personas con albinismo en África es una problemática que ha ganado visibilidad internacional debido a la naturaleza de los ataques que se cometen en contra de ellos, que los convierte en víctimas de discriminación, mutilación y asesinato, generalmente debido a creencias en brujería y mitos. Históricamente se han registrado 198 ataques en Tanzania (Under The Same Sun, 2021), siendo este el país con más casos presentados. La comunidad internacional ha desarrollado iniciativas para la protección de derechos humanos de esta minoría, en donde una de las organizaciones que más reconocimiento tiene por sus resoluciones es la Organización de Naciones Unidas, ya que ha declarado un Día Internacional de Sensibilización sobre el Albinismo, ha estipulado un mandato especial en el que se nombró a una Experta Independiente y ha articulado un Plan de Acción Regional en África para la respuesta efectiva a las necesidades de las personas con albinismo. Mediante la caracterización de los factores culturales y socioeconómicos que propician la continuidad de esta violación de derechos humanos, las consecuencias sobre sus condiciones de vida y una revisión detallada acerca de las resoluciones tomadas por las Naciones Unidas en el tema, se logró un análisis desde la perspectiva del liberalismo institucional acerca del Plan de Acción Regional, debido a que este es el que mejor permite ver la acción conjunta que las diferentes instituciones han tenido en la problemática, concluyendo que el papel de la Organización de Naciones Unidas ha sido positivo ya que ha permitido organizar y hacer duradera la cooperación internacional en el tema.

Historically, 198 attacks in Tanzania have been recorded (Under The Same Sun, 2021), making this country the one with the biggest amount of cases presented. The international community has developed initiatives to protect the human right of this minority, where one the organizations with more recognition is the United Nations as it has declared an International Albinism Awareness Day, created a Special Procedure, named an Independent Expert on the enjoyment of human rights by people with albinism and articulate a Regional Action Plan on Albinism in Africa to provide an effective response to People with Albinism's needs.
