Summary:This research exercise, was elaborated to analyze how the pedagogical practices of the Spanish language teacher developed in the school context at Institution Educative Santa Maria de la Cruz. However, from the research process seeks to recognize the importance of practices in the subject of language and its importance in the school setting to reflect about educational practice and can be able to determine what is the impact generated in the academic process of the students. Reflect about the pedagogical practices of the teacher, goes beyond the fulfillment of the institutional requirements but, this permit reflection and transformation of scenarios for the understanding of the knowledge that allows to build new knowledge, so that from the teaching exercise the skills of the students are recognized taking into account that the Spanish language allows to improve language skills, new skills, communicative notions, being and the recognition of realities from the school context
