| Summary: | The following paper aims to study civil liability applied to high-performance athletes, considering it a topic of great current relevance, given the large number of new sports disciplines and the risks they generate, added to the fact that, currently, in the local environment there are few institutions dedicated to research on the subject and the current legislation in this field is also limited; For this reason, it is important to mention that sports civil liability should be an object of study in the law career, however, we find that, within higher education institutions, it is necessary to incorporate it within the academic curriculum, since Currently there is only one law school that dedicates its study to this topic and from a graduate level, such as the University of Medellín. This being a legal article of a comparative, hermeneutical and qualitative nature, approaches to the concept of civil liability applied to high-performance sports will be established in conjunction with the study of sentences and related legal norms |
