Summary: | San Basilio de Palenque corregimiento of the municipality of mahates, Bolívar is declared a cultural and intangible heritage of humanity for being considered the first free town of America, over the years they have lived through a series of events within the culture, one of they that are severely affecting traditional bases are the lack of practice towards traditional medicine that has deteriorated over time, showing conventional medicine a firm position that is in a way not very well accepted by the community, no for the bad thing but more than everything for the lack of applied and necessary ancestral knowledge that are only found in the traditional medicine, coming from all this there are deconformities of the community in certain part by the elderly people this has led to deaths . It has been previously investigated in the community of San Basilio de Palenque on the problems based on the forgetting of traditional medicine, where through participatory workshops, interviews with experts in the field including rezanderos, sobanderos, healers and botanists have been rescued ideas and arguments in each branch of traditional medicine that have given us footing to create typologies of these traditional spaces, taking into account some previous needs and processes carried out in each branch, with all these data we are arguing of results that we they have helped to generate a traditional architectural program that in the end is articulated within the architectural design and articulated with the physical areas. Throughout the process it is carried out to recover a forgotten ancestral practice, where the articulation between the traditional and the conventional is sought can recover and put into practice ancestral knowledge of communities that still believe in their roots, in order to form an ethno health, where the cultural is focused since it has great value and touches to preserve it |
