Summary: | Among the most influential factors in criminal life, the pillars of failure in the reeducation process and increased recidivism in young people in conflict with criminal law, is the use of psychoactive drugs. Specifically, in Medellín and Colombia, marihuana is the illegal drug most consumed within the centers of the Sistema de Responsabilidad Penal para Adolescentes due to its short and long terms effects, and its characteristics. This article investigates the factors related to the relapse in the use of psychoactive drugs, finding individual, social, family, cultural factors, among others, that can be associated. Also understanding the condition of deprivation of liberty, as an abnormal situation, that could exacerbate the risk. In addition, the importance of an evidence-based program for young people in conflict with criminal law deprived of their liberty, focused on the prevention and treatment of the use of psychoactive drugs is raised |
