| Summary: | Requirements elicitation –RE– is the cornerstone in the development of software projects and has a very high impact on the design and other phases of product’s life cycle. If done properly, it can help to reduce changes and corrections in the requirements. Additionally, the quality of the elicitation determines the accuracy of the feedback given to the customer about the integrity and validity of the requirements. Because this phase is critical and has a profound impact on the project, it is very important that the elicit work can be made as perfect as possible. Considering the different features of software projects, this paper proposes some general rules for performing RE based on the discussion and the explanation of the related processes and methods applied in different types of software projects. |
