Description
Summary:Abstract This article is essentially a view and a reflection on the Colombian present of logistics infrastructure and transportation multimodality. Several constituent aspects of the logistics system of a country are addressed here, such as road, rail, fluvial, seaport and airport infrastructure, all from an economic and social perspective, considering not only financial and commercial elements but also those related to good living of the population. At the end, as it is easy to imagine, it is concluded that investment in infrastructure is fundamental to achieve development in the countries and it is emphasized that the impact that such investment has on all economic sectors has to be reflected, in a positive way, on the welfare levels of the inhabitants.
