Trastornos musculoesqueléticos, por consiguiente, afectan diferentes sistemas como músculos, huesos, ligamentos, tendones, nervios periféricos o vasos de soporte. La docencia se considera una de las ocupaciones con mayor riesgo de desarrollar trastornos musculoesqueléticos relacionados con el trabajo. Se reportan altas incidencias en diferentes articulaciones del cuerpo y un empeoramiento en la calidad de vida. El objetivo de esta narración es describir los trastornos musculoesqueléticos en docentes de escuela y cómo se ve afectada su calidad de vida. Esta investigación corresponde a un estudio narrativo de tipo cualitativo, caracterizándose por la búsqueda en diferentes bases de datos virtuales como Pubmed, Scopus, Dialnet. Los resultados indican que la mayoría de los docentes, entre el 60% y el 85%, han presentado alguna vez trastornos musculoesqueléticos en una o más articulaciones en los últimos 12 meses, teniendo una mayor presencia de SMT en el sexo femenino debido a una alta puntuación de estrés en relación. |

Teaching is considered one of the occupations with the highest risk of developing work-related musculoskeletal disorders. High incidences in different joints of the body and a worsening quality of life are reported. The aim of this narrative is to describe musculoskeletal disorders in school teachers and how their quality of life is affected. This research corresponds to a qualitative narrative study, characterized by the search in different virtual databases such as Pubmed, Scopus, Dialnet.
