| Summary: | In this article, the author creates a discussion about of the importance of organizational culture in the implementation of the quality management system in higher education institutions. The author considers, based on the proposals of some authors, the need to study the culture of an organization as a key component of the plans for the implementation of the quality management system to align culture with management strategies, either adapting management systems to the existing culture or intervening the culture to align it with the management strategy, depending on the perspective on organizational culture adopted by the leaders of the institutions. |
