Summary:Currently the increase in men, women and minors in the exercise of prostitution and use of psychoactive substances is very high, ALSO the population BELONGING TO LGBTI (lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and intersex) COMMUNITY, ALSO OFFERS THIS KIND OF SERVICES. In the case of transgender people there is a significant index as the only work option. Taking into account this problem, an investigation is proposed that seeks to identify and know the social representations that a transgender person has in prostitution and with the use of marijuana; Given the low importance and the little study of this phenomenon in the country, it turns out to be interesting and significant. The proposed methodological design is of a qualitative type with a phenomenological-hermeneutical paradigm. The population is made up of a transgender person in a condition of marijuana use and in prostitution, based on a case study, in order to understand and determine, which social representations are attached to their work and personal life. It was possible to show that the influence of family dynamics is vital for the development of behaviors and beliefs of a person, in the same way it is possible to recognize the role that marijuana has in the exercise of prostitution and also on a personal level, finally They identified the beliefs that a person possesses, in this case the participant, who, based on lived experiences, allowed him to anchor various concepts that were previously alien to him and are now part of his social representations
