Description
Summary:n this project an auralized interactive environment of the Valerio theater is developed. This theater islocated in the municipality of Marinilla, Antioquia. The objective is to know the acoustic behavior ofthis one before and after the conditioning designed by the company Nasyl. This is accompanied by thevisual component created three-dimensionally in Blender and integrated with the auralization in theUnity 3D video game engine. The above allows the user interaction with the enclosure both auditoryand visual in a virtual environment. The user has the opportunity of movement and rotation in saidenvironment, perceiving variations in the acoustic behavior of the enclosure according to its spatiallocation. Geometric Acoustics is the method used to perform the acoustic simulation of the enclosure. The three-dimensional models of the enclosure are designed first before and after the conditioningaccording to the proposed design. Subsequently, the 3D drawings are made that are used for acousticsimulation through the CATT Acoustics software. The geometric acoustics is in essence the mostconvenient method to carry out said simulation. In addition, the volume of the theater (approximately6800m3) exceeds the necessary value required in this method. The impulse responses generated are exported in B-format and integrated into Unity through FMODand Resonance Audio. Various scripts are written for the operation of the chain of processes mentionedabove in the different stages of the project. Finally, the result of the comparison of the acoustic behavior for the theater is obtained by appre-ciating the benefits of the applied conditioning and the improvement of the results for parameterssuch as Clarity, EDT and Reverberation Time.
