La neuroplasticidad es la capacidad que tiene el cerebro de adaptarse después de sufrir una alteración y los procesos cognitivos son las funciones necesarias para que el cerebro codifique, almacene y use la información adquirida, estos procesos son tres: atención, percepción y memoria.
