Summary: | Nowadays the provision of analytical laboratory services has increased its boom and usefulness, the objective of a water analysis is forging correct and reliable results, having the verification of assays as one of the most important aspects and key factor for achieving this purpose. Determining hexavalent chromium in water using colorimetry with diphenylcarbazide is the most used and useful analytical methodology being known in the scientific-technical field, specially because of its high selectivity and also discussed because of its reaction to interferences. In this study has been conducted the analytical assessment of spectrophotometric method in order to determine hexavalent chromium in water; the objective of this work is to verify the application of the method for water analysis. Different water types have been used: drinking water, sewage water and surface water, adopting strictly the validation protocols. Results have been found satisfactory for accuracy and precision aimed to issue real and reliable results for the analyzed sample. |
