Summary: | The present quantitative study, with descriptive cross - sectional, non - experimental design, is carried out with a sample of 97 students from the Psychology program at a University from Cartagena, with the objective of describing their perception of the Social Climate of the classroom and the academic experiences in the institution, two questionnaires were used to measure both variables: School social climate (Moos, R. &Trickett, E. (1974), using the Argentina adaptation done by Álvarez, L., Cassullo, G. & Pasman, P. (1998), and the academic of experiences questionnaire reduced (QVA-r) elaborated by Almeida, L., Ferreira, J., & Soares, A. (2001). For the development of the research, the psychometric properties of both instruments were explored, making the relevant adjustments for the mentioned population. In relation to the results of the study, it was discovered that the percentages in which the largest number of students are concentrated in the average trend, which means that this sample of students does not perceive an inappropriate social climate. However, neither does manifest to perceive a favorable social climate. This means the importance that these experiments are given inside the classroom (social climate of the classroom) and the situations in general that are represented in the Educational institution (academic experiences) is not as high as to consider a social climate adequate and some satisfactory academic experiences. |
