Summary: | In the present investigation strategies were proposed to strengthen the fruit sector of the department of Antioquia, taking into account the high losses that are had in the postharvest and therefore in the physical distribution. To solve the problem of losses, a bibliographic analysis was carried out from which a database of criteria already used in projects and articles with the technique of the Hierarchical Analytical Process (AHP) was taken, these criteria were classified for the physical distribution (storage and transport). Using the technique Hierarchical Analytical Process (AHP) with storage and transport criteria, a survey was conducted, which was carried out at the Wholesale Center of Medellin where all the fruits of the surrounding municipalities arrive and these in turn are commercialized. At the end of the surveys it was obtained that for transportation one of the aspects to be more careful is the hygiene, and for the storage to have an adequate control over the temperature. When obtaining these data, it was necessary to carry out the Benchmarking analysis, which was done specifically in countries where fruit-growing powers have been implementing innovation technologies to reduce losses in the criteria thrown by the AHP, contemplating in this way the possibility of bringing said technology to the country and thus empower the fruit sector. |
