With the objective of finding an optimal location for a sanitary landfill in the metropolitan area of the Aburrá Valley (Antioquia), a review of the Colombian legal framework was performed, in Colombia by means of the Decree 838 of the year 2005 were established the criteria to be considered when selecting and identifying areas for sanitary landfills, given these criteria a spatial analysis was conducted by using ArcGIS program which resulted in two terrains selected which were located in the municipality of Barbosa (Antioquia-Colombia) covering 269.35 acres and 289.09 acres respectively.

Con el fin de encontrar una ubicación óptima para un relleno sanitario en el Área Metropolitana del Valle de Aburrá, se realizó la revisión del marco legal colombiano el cual por medio del decreto 838 de 2005 estableció criterios a tener en cuenta para la identificación y selección de áreas para la localización de rellenos sanitarios, teniendo en cuenta estos criterios por medio del programa ArcGis se realizó análisis espacial que dio como resultado dos terrenos en el municipio de Barbosa, Antioquia con áreas de 99,109 Ha y 116,99 Ha.pdf8 páginasRecurso en lineaapplication/pdfGascón, S.
