Summary:This article proposes a critical reading of the Critical Management Studies (CMS) from the category of unidimensionality exposed by H. Marcuse supported by his analysis from diagnostic evidence of his time society. We affirm that the unidimensionality is a valid criterion, comprehensive and powerful to reflect on the relationship between capitalism and the world of management. From the many philosophical and epistemological influences that have formed, CMS have tried to solve the problems arising from the management system spread throughout the capitalist world. To what extent these views fail to question the universal mode of administration? How critical are the CMS as transformative power of society under the light of unidimensionality?.
