| Summary: | The establishment of an early warning system of pollution of water resources has a significant effect in the water quality protection. In this work was an analysis of water quality in the Swamp of the Virgin after operation tide system stabilized (Bocana), during the years 2006-2010 were monitored parameters such as BOD5, DO, Phosphorus and Total coliforms. The results show that only the point 30 meets all the goals. However, the DO was within the limit fixed in 4 points evaluated. The of total coliforms concentration in the points 2 and 7 were above the limits. In conclusion, it is urgent to improve the management of wastewater discharge, the main source of pollution in this estuarine water body. |
