Summary: | This project is focused on strengthening art and culture from an observation and analysis of Bolivar Park, the same that gives us as a result the sum of a great history and heritage. When talking about this history, architecture and landscaping are integrated, as well as environmental aspects. Over the years, its transformation has been notorious in terms of construction, but its history continues to be marked with the passing of the years. This research leads us to focus on reactivating the traditional center of Medellin having a great impact on Bolivar Park, seeking to connect and enhance cultural facilities such as the Theater. Analyzing the theater and the dynamics that connect it with the park, it can be said that art is the one that produces social, cultural and artistic exchange because it represents the history that frames the place. The idea is to complement the theater to act as an intermediary and link between the traditional center and the Bolivar Park. Today the park has undergone a new renovation which seeks to integrate new species of trees, a new way of arranging the spaces and reconnecting the pedestrian with the park, making the entrance ways more friendly. Our project joins all this cultural and patrimonial history of Bolivar Park, taking the Theater as a starting point. |
