| Summary: | By observing the city and its architecture as settings where local identities are constructed, it becomes a challenge to explore the processes which would allow those architectural proposals, concerned with the signs of its own identity, to offer an appropriate response to its problems, historical needs, and, aspects of geographical and local concerns. This article presents both an interpretative analysis and a critical reflection of the problem concerning the evaluation of the context in contemporary architectural intervention and, especially, architecture in Cali, which has within it the dichotomy of the singularities of local realities in contrast to the models imported from external realities. |
