Summary: | The objective of this research was to analyze the coping strategies against social exclusion in people belonging to the LGBTIQ + community diagnosed with HIV AIDS positive in the city of Ibagué, the research included the participation of 20 people of different sexual orientations such as are homosexuals, lesbians, bisexuals and transsexuals, it was developed under a mixed approach of descriptive design through which data were collected in two phases, in the first phase, quantitative information was collected using the COPING coping strategies scale modified validated in Colombia and in the second, qualitative data were collected, the execution of focus groups according to sexual orientation in which the coping strategies were addressed, which were presented in a low (0-25) and high (75) percentile. -100) with guiding questions according to general results, be part of the c LGBTIQ + community, present HIV positive and social exclusion. According to the results, it can be concluded that the group of lesbians was the one that registered the highest number of coping strategies in the high percentiles, while the group of bisexual men was the one that presented the highest number of strategies in the average percentile, Most of the groups (except lesbians) share in the percentile under the autonomy coping strategy in situations such as the exposure of their HIV / AIDS diagnosis, and most of the groups (except lesbians) that is, homosexuals, bisexuals and transsexuals share the professional support coping strategy with a high percentile, it should be clarified that all manifest the presence of this strategy in the strictly medical field and not related to mental health |
