Description
Summary:The process of disengagement in Colombia allows the subject to opt for new opportunities that finally provide a different role from the context in which previously immersed in. Therefore, the significance of the family in the process of disengagement was investigated, revealing emotional and contextual factors that promote a particularized vision of the needs and changes made by the subjects, in addition to the role of the family during the time involved in the process. To give an account of the information collected, it is given under conversational dynamics that allows the disengaged to express what the context endowed from their experience and what their family generated. It was evidenced that the family is an entity that suffers the difficulties of the conflict, but that also, its role in the process of disengagement is relegated and unadaptable. The family is evidenced as a differential agent of the reality of the subject. Still, it is considered that past situations influence this conception by elaborating autonomous perceptions in respect to what the process and its life generated. The process should not only treat the subject, but it is also important to approach to the family, to give knowledge of the dynamics, and this way the family will be able to situate themselves in a participative and sympathetic position for whatever occurs.
